1/3 and 1/4

Common denominator = 3 multiplied by 4 =12

but to give you more choices to choose your fraction, let's make the common denominator = 60

1/3 = (1*20)/(3*20) = 20/60 , and
1/4 = (1*15//(4*15) =15/60

you want to find a fraction between 3/12 and 4/12, this is equivalent to choosing a fraction between (15/60) and (20/60)

you can choose 16/60; 17/60; 18/60 or 19/60 or any other fractions in between.

10/36

The way you would figure this out (if it requires and explanation) is that you multiply each numerator and denominator by 3, so you get 12/36 (originally 1/4) and 9/36 (originally 1/3) a fraction between those two is either 10/36, or 11/36, it doesn't matter which one you put.

Oh and by the way, even though you got different answers from everyone so far, they're all correct, just not simplified.

I'd actually go with JuanB and say 7/24.
