Anonymity and knowing that you can say what you want on here there is no big comeback apart from a few written words you can cope with. If you say something face to face you are judged forever on your words, your facial and body language and your attitude. At work especially you have to face these people the next day and the impression they get of you nails yourself every day to that personality, so you have to be careful what you portray
I am like you not knowing who i am outside of the computer and i am rather socially inept. With communicating in the spoken word I have a very great difficulty.

On line we can either be the real us, or a portrail of the person we would like to be. Face to face we adapt to our surroundings and the people who fill our day to day spaces. We do this every day ,whether we feel comfortable with these situations or not .It takes a strong individual to step up to the line and declare themselves different and not one of the crowd because 'different' is found lacking & quickly becomes ostrosised. When you speak to some one face to face ,how many times do you zone out because you have heard it all before . Every one here has a voice and everyone listens.

Cos you can be anybody you like, here, braver, funnier and not shy, which you knew anyway, I reckon. You just want to know that other people feel the same, I think. Of course, mate, much easier on here - sad that, though when you think about it. Trouble is, in real life you get stuck with how you pretend to be, sometimes, and it's no good saying if you don't like it, change it, because it gets ingrained. You could always give it a go, though, pretend you're on here instead maybe, instead of face to face, if you can? Ah, expecially if you don't like who you're pretending to be..

I believe that people can express themselves better online because they don't have to worry about being judged, because you are most likely not ever going to meet the people that you talk to on here. so that is what i believe

I think its because you can't see & hear peoples physical reaction (if its negative) Having eye contact with someone is very personal, your eyes are the window to your soul (so they say) Online you don't get any of that!

I think people express themselves better online because they aren't scared to say a certain thing and be rejected by their peers later on.
But thats just me....

You got to be you ! It's who you do best. I am true to myself and how I feel and what I believe in and I don't care if my boss or anyone else likes it. You have to be yourself or your living a lie. Try it, you may like it.

The fear of face to face rejection is gone. If someone online rejects you or doesn't like you, it's no big deal cause they don't know you.

its easier for some to talk to a bit of text behind a picture, some people are very shy, and believe they don't get judged
