can someone tell me the best way to use my t.v. as a computer monitor? Places to buy needed cables and such.?

Not recommended to do except EDTV, nearly all modern video cards today have Composite Out, that is the small circular plug with yellow colour coding around it. That is what you need, Go to Radio Shack or electronics store to get the wiring.

But then, some TV and monitors already have plugs that crossover its intended use to computer or tv shows. That is even easier.
