He got us into this horrific war, without a plan, with no light at the end of the tunnel. He won't listen to his military advisers (who actually have seen combat), he's implemented the lame No child left behind program. Test scores have DROPPED since it's been implemented.
He doesn't seem to care about our troops who are there on his orders, and he sends them for multiple tours.
Those are just a FEW of the reason there is so much bush-bashing.

No, he's actually much stupider. How about a 3 trillion dollar war to install a government in Iraq after throwing them into civil war? Sounds stupid to me. Oh, and before that, he lied to Congress and the American public to start the war under false pretense.

Most people who think Bush is such a bad president have no idea how the government works. If I think he is stupid it is because he will not stand up for himself. He takes the blame for so much the Congress has done and says nothing in his own defense. Think I am wrong? Go to www.congress.org and you can look for yourself how congress voted and compair the votes to what the media has blamed Bush for.
Bush has also been president in a time when I doubt anyone else would have taken the job. After 9/11 our government had to do a lot of things that were not popular but if you ask the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan how many times terrorist attacks have been avertered because of information we have learned being there then that is your answer to why we are there.
You can blame Bush for saying there were WMDs in Iraq but there were none. If the United Nations under the presidency of Kofi "The Clown" Annan had not given Saddam NINE YEARS to get the WMDs out then they would have been there. Some people say Saddam never had WMDs but if you look back at the Kurds he killed in the north what did he use? Mustard Gas....and what is Mustard Gas? A WMD.
I could go on and on but the only way I think of him as being stupid is that he hasn't stood up for himself and pointed the finger at congress the way he should have.
Makes you wonder how history will judge him.

I just love it how Bush supporters say,"He is doing the best he can" ... "No he isn't stupid, he got elected twice, it's the media making him look bad ...." blah blah...bullsh*t. Compared to any president in history, this nut job takes the cake on dumb*** presidents. 25% approval, so is that really the fault of the media.....or do you think he might have had a hand in being the complete blunder that he is??? We expect a president to be more than just an ordinary American, who makes mistakes after mistakes and hasn't quite grasp the english language.

One can judge more fairly by the results of what he has implemented. Especially since for the first six years his Republican congress never said no to him or asked him to explain or in any way exercised its traditional oversight prerogatives.
We went to war to get Osama, a terrorist. Osama is still out there.
We went to war to rid Iraq of a dictator, and secure democratic elections for Iraqis, which we have done, to the tune of ten billion a month. But, we are still there and its now going to cost over a trillion dollars, which isn't paid for as he is now the only president to institute tax cuts for the rich even as he declared war. Economically unsustainable. In other words...stupid.
Originally he told us Iraq was in possession of WMD and chemical warfare trucks. Both proved to be untrue. When he was presented with truthful intel, he disregarded it and instead tried to disgrace the messenger...a very stupid and illegal move.

I think he's a good deal more stupid than the media makes him out to be,,, even if he has read "three Shakespeares".
And he's not the "mastermind" behind anything. He just reads the scripts they hand him and tries not to screw that task up too badly... though he often does anyway.

No. Morons don't fly jets. Morons don't govern states. I'll grant you that he can't put two words together, but neither could his old man - and he had the best resume for the presidency in the 20th century.
The liberal/media problem with Bush is that he's a leader. He knows where the country should go. He's not going to waste time arguing with the media about it. He's going to do what he thinks is right.
Prior to Bush we were used to Clinton who enjoyed playing President and didn't really care a whole lot what happened to the country as long as the economy kept humming.
Bush is a leader, but he's not a manager. That's where Cheney comes in. Cheney's no leader, but he is a manager. Regardless of politics one has to admin that Bush-Cheney has been the most effective P-VP team in a very long time.

Forget the media and just watch his news conferences or his responses during the presidential debates and see it for yourself...He's certainly not the brightest fellow. He's not very articulate, he can't spit out his words.

Well if he is as stupid as some believe he is, then how did he accomplish the following:
Became President, two different terms mind you.
Got Hillary, Kerry, Biden and the majority of Democrats in the Senate to approve authorization to go into Iraq.
Managed to get not one, but two very conservative Supreme Court Justices appointed, with the consent of the Democrats.
Managed to get Democrats to pass a tax cut bill.
