If Bob's brother is x, Bob is x+3
and
x+x+3 = 33
2x+3=33
2x=30
x=15 - Bob's brother is 15, bob is x+3 = 18

brother = b-3.
b+b-3-33
33+3= 36.
36 divided by 2 = 18.

brother = 15.
bob = 18.
