No, there are always limitations. Your mind does play a key role in being able to achieve your maximum potential though. Take for example the idea that you wish to be a basketball player. You may be a truly skilled basketball player in fact but if you stopped growing and stayed at 5'11" then you might have somewhat of a disadvantage when it comes to stacking up against other players. You body also has limitation in the areas of energy storage and muscle fiber type distribution. Your mind, maximizing your body's full potential may not yet be great enough to compete against a superior body using their full mental potential. I'd say keep up and see where it goes but study hard just in case you don't make it to the bigs you've always got a backup plan. If you do work at it hard then you will know success regardless of the outcomes and in time you will be able to benefit from it in several diverse ways.

I think it is totally possible. Actually what you said in your question is one of my own motos I'm 30 and as of yet have never been proven myself wrong. now what I have wanted to achieve in my life is not basketball..... and some things have taken me longer than others, but with hard work, dedication, and diligence anything really is possible. Even if it's not humanly possible right now, doesn't mean that by the time your ready for it it won't be or that you won't figure out a way to make it. i.e. telephones, automobiles, rockets, electricity, microwaves, etc. you see all of these weren't humanly possible at one time, but someone figured out a way to make them. Don't ever let anyone say you can't or are not capable of doing something, now if you choose not to, or figure the price is to high, or that yeah, it is just way to much work, that's a different story, but it should be your choice.

YES YES YES!

You can do anything you can if you put your mind to it and have Faith in God... I know that sounds cheesy but it's true!

Growing up, I was over weight, but I could dance like you would not believe. I could learn dance routines extremely fast.. this is my gift.
I never expected to be in the position I am in now.
I went from being overweight... to "hold up wait a minute, did that just happen"?

I exceeded what I thought I could "only" do as a dancer. Still being overweight, I moved to LA to go and book a video and tour. Little did I realize what was ahead of me... politics, and of course the way you look.

I lost the weight, and then I started to play LA at it's own game. I became successful at what I did.

Because I trust in God, I have learned to accept things that may not co-inside with dancing.
This is why I am on here now. even though I became something I worked hard at, God knew what potential I have for tasking other areas in my life.

You are still young, your ambition makes you who you are! You should keep focus on that NO MATTER what. You will be tested by other things in your life, and when it's time, God will test you. He will refine you like a piece of metal through a fiery furnace... to make you strong!

Good luck with your hopes and dreams...

here's what I have done with mine... I hope you understand...

Don't forget about Spud Webb. (he should be an inspiration to all you aspiring under-six-foot basketball players)

My father used to tell me: "Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect." He's a philosopher so he has to speak in riddles. Basically he's saying that not all practice is of equal value and that you can progress only with the right kind of practice.

He forgot that for some of us (myself included) perfection is not a worthy goal. For me, excellence is good enough.

With very very few exceptions, the human being can do anything he or she wants to do (not quite anything, but a lot more than we think sometimes).

hard work and dedication yeah thats cool but personally i think you need more than that you need passion for it, you need to give it everything, you need to persist throught it, you need to never give up...ect its really hard i mean you want to be a pro and the chances of that are very little to none you need to be up for the challenge for the ride of your life! expect dissapointment. There i don't think you can do it. (prove me wrong). I challenge you to prove me wrong.

yes anyone can achieve anything if they work really hard for that goal........(sorry but this doesnt include people with sicknesses or birth problems) Well if you actually praticed a ton and showed 110% in everything you did towards that goal you will make it.....for some people you would have to dedicate your whole life to that goal to make the goal a reality......

You MIGHT achieve it but the competition for the very few spots is intense. You should go for it 100%, but have a plan B.

ANYTHING is a little too strong. you will probably achieve your goal. the rest of us might not be so lucky, the girl that gets away, never going to the moon, becoming a millionaire, seeing a sunset from Saturn's rings. you can't accomplish anything, but if you keep it up then you'll do fine.

Yes, save the impossible, but if your dream is impossible, do it anyways, you may even accomplish it, or leave with more knowledge of youself.
