White socks with sneakers & jeans or under boots of any kind. Colored socks with anything else.
It looks really lame when you see a guy with dark colored pants and shoes with white socks showing.

It depends on what I am wearing. If I am going to court on behalf of a client, I won't exactly wear white socks with a gray suit.

i wear bright yellow socks if I'm wearing boots cause i know i can get away with it, otherwise i wear white anklet socks with my trainers. i got said yellow socks from my gran for Christmas last year, hand made so i feel i have to use them, some of the time, just not out in public view.

i buy socks in bulk like 48 pair at a time all white all the same style. before i put them in the drawer i toss out all the old ones. that way there is no need for sorting.
