Today a friend of mine asked to go to the washroom during class but he was actually skipping. We had a sub so since he was sitting near me and my other friend, she came over to us and asked us what his name was after he was gone for a good 10 mins. We said we didn't know and she got upset and said that we do. While she doesn't know my name, she could just tell my regular teacher where I sat and my regular teacher would know that I lied cuz she knows i do know the guy that skipped. Should I be worried that I'll get into trouble when/if they find my friend skipped? I only lied cuz he's my friend but i still feel uneasy about it and a bit worried that i'll get into trouble; i don't think i'll be confronted and asked to tell the truth but confronted as to why i didn't tell the sub his name when i knew it.

don't worry . YOu aren't the one who skipped. So you won't get in trouble.

In today's classrooms, who kow what will happen. To tell you my personal opinion, I think that you will be just fine... While the sub may say something to the teacher, it is not your fault or your responsibility to tattle or let someone know that your friend ditched. YOUR friend is the one that ditched and will suffer the consequences. I would expect for them to get a saturday school or after school detention. Next time, the teacher should not be so silly, and just take Roll Call... DUH! Her bad.

Well you don't like to get your friend in trouble,I understand. But think about what you felt? When someone is a friend "A REAL FRIEND" They will not put you in the position to have to lie or get you in trouble. If they do that they are no friend of your.Always do the right thing!

You may be in trouble, but not as much as your friend.
