Also, how do you get internet access on your laptop and whatever it is do you have to pay extra?

Well I don't how else to get it aside from getting the money to buy one.
Though laptops are cheaper than they've ever been right now so it's easier to do then ever.

yes save and buy it, dont turn to crime either : P !
internet is always coming down in price, if you have sky already it costs just £5 a month now.
you have to pay for the internet via an internet service provider i.e BT , PIPEX, AOL etc. and to pay them I guess you will need to set up a direct debit to a bank account. also be aware you may be entering a contract for at least 6 months upto around 18months in some cases.
