Don't think you can run XP over Vista.Old version wont over ride new versions.Course i may be wrong.

Have to reformat HD to do this. XP disk shoulf format it for you. When you get to the part where it asks, several lines like install using complete hard drive, or questions like that. Answer yes, then it will ask what format you want or give choices. pick one and run with it. XP will do the rest
