hi... i was given an after school detention for 2 hours last week for not doing homework. The DT was from 3.30 til 5.30 in the maths classroom. The teacher made me write lines out for the whole 2 hours which was so not nice..... and my hand hurt!

Today at school, I was given another after school DT for not wearing my uniform!!! Its on thursday, and i know i will have to do lines again,.... oh joy!

Is it fair to be issued 2 after school detentions with writing lines??

And what are your detentions like?

Yes it is. You need to do your homework and follow your school rules.

Well sorry that you are in detention, but if that is what they make you do for detention then yes it is fair. If you are the only person that has ever had to write lines then no its not fair.
Well the plus side of writing lines is that you can practice your handwriting while doing it or try writting differently (haha that is what i would do)

but at my school you stay in this auditorium for 45 minutes friday afternoon and just sit there and complain with the teachers, who don't want to be there themselves :)

No, at my school you don't get detention immediatly. First you get a warning, then silent lunch where you have to eat in the classroom with the teacher, and the SAS which is service after school. At my old school you get detention where you have to write.

It is fair when you do not do what you are supposed to do. Hopefully, you will learn and follow all of tigers school rules.
