No they don't because some kids can not remember them, you can not offend them. I have a sister who is a teacher's aide; do you know you can not give a test, on the same book, to racially different students because they look at the book differently. To pass the eighth grade we had to write preamble with punctuation, letter perfect. If you did not do it you failed.

I am a music teacher, and I don't even know the Presidents or the Capitols songs.

I do know the song "Fifty Nifty" which sings the states in alphabetical order. I will be teaching that to my 5th grade students.

They handed out plastic rulers with the Presidents listed on the back when I went to school, and we learned the states and capitols by regions.

When I was in school they didn't have "under God" in the pledge... but that was back when people respected what others believed. We did respect our country & the flag that symbolized our country, back before some groups decided that all Americans had to pledge allegiance to some God.
Yes, we learned all the patriotic songs & sang them... Chuckle, we learned & sang all the Christmas songs too.
