Long story short, ever since my daughter was born 5 months ago, I've been suffering from reoccurring headaches and an intense pain, like a stabbing, throbbing ache, in my left hip (it's not the syatic [spelling?] nerve) that will flare up and then fade in intensity, but remains fairly constant. I had a spinal with my c section and then an epidural to establish a blood patch after the spinal punctured my spinal cord and I started leaking fluid. Is it possible that the pain I feel still stems from the epidural or spinal? and if it does, how frequently does this happen to women and how did you resolve the issue? How can I get the pain to go away? Do I need to see my doctor? Thank you, any and all advice is much appreciated

Didnt they make you watch the video and tell you how you can be paralyzed from an epidural and/or spinal? They did me and it scared the pants off me.

Iam 10 month out and still get a horrible pain in my hip and along my sciatic nerve from the spinal I got, once in a while I get this weird tense tingling asleep feeling in a little patch on my back from it.

I would talk to your doctor, its probable that you've suffered nerve damage from the rupture of your spinal column and fluid.

I would check into some accupuncture, it does WONDERS.

It sounds like it could be related to the spinal or epidural. But I am not a doctor so I can't tell you for sure it is. I would definitely see a doctor cause it sounds like you are in pain. good luck.

you should see your doctor.
it sounds like it was from the spinal / epi you got, my friend has the same thing (still--3 1/2 yrs later) after her spinal. it's one of the most common side effects. i'll be watching to see if someone tells you a way to resolve it... my friend's had no luck & her doctor hasn't been any help to her.

With my 2nd pregnancy I had a re-peat c-section and had an epidural in my back.(Not sure whats it called.)Anyways or I should I would of have it.They tried so many times to get it in.Then they finally put me under to take the baby.Anyways I woke up the day after and I was all bruised and my back was in so much pain.5 years later my back still hurts.I think they had a med student or something try to do it.

there is something called a spinal headache. i'm not sure exactly what it entails but it can be a reaction from an epidural.

It sometimes takes a year I had headaches and pain after too.
I really didn't like having an epi as soon as they gave it
to me I got brain fog and I think it added to or caused my postpartum depression.
