Well regarding illegal aliens, not dealing with the problem IS not worrying about Americans. Why should Americans pay taxes and play by the rules if it's OK for illegal aliens not to, and they get all the same services FOR FREE and without paying taxes?
But I agree that the proper way to respond to terrorists is not to restrict our freedoms -- because then they have won. Instead, we should be getting serious about the "war on terror" and stop worrying about innocent casualties.
Put the world on notice -- harbor terrorists or let them live among you and you risk your own lives.
We have good intelligence where they are hiding, and it's always among innocent civilians. Too bad. The place will get levelled. Everyone will get killed. Women, children, old people, too bad.
Eventually people will get the hint and either kill off terrorists the minute they roll into town or pack up and move away FAST. And THEN we'll be getting serious about going "after" terrorists.
And any country that cries and complains can take that as an act of war. It's their choice.
AND we have to stop all this nonsense about sensitivity to racial profiling. If you're Arabic, sorry, you have to understand, until the Islamic communities start turning in the terrorists among them in droves, we just can't be sure who's friend or foe. That's just how it is.
You know, maybe we DO need a woman president. After all, women don't put up with all this B***SH*T and just do what has to be done. We get friggin cramp-ridden periods every month, so don't tell us about pain.

Well, yes they should, as should we all.
But then you are talking about politicians, These are the people who have decided that no cost is too great for them to have power. I would bet there are few who really care about you or I.
Now which party cares the most for the people. To find out don't ask anyone, read, read, read, and then read some more.
Only you can tell who is for the people because everyone of us has either believed the spin and drank the cool aide or there are a few who have truly made up their own minds.
And you can guess where I stand. But it certainly isn't with those who want us to surrender to terrorism, or who want to give a terrorist all the rights we give our own.

So, you think it's good that the Patriot Act has taken away your rights? Did you know the President can now declare ANY citizen (including YOU) a non-combatant and incarcerate you until you die without having to bring any charges?
Meanwhile the Republicans continue to block legislation that will check every container that enters our ports to make sure it does not have a nuclear bomb on board.
If you care about civil liberties AND homeland security, VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS.

Civil liberties of arab terrorists? Civil liberties are for Americans. If you are talking about torture, we're under the Geneva Convention, our torture of prisoners has nothing to do with civil liberties.
But shouldn't Americans worry about Americans instead of trying to divide the country with hatred?

You'd think so. However, I see many candidates talking about American interests and American rights rather than foreigners.
