My daughter is 4 1/2 months old. She started teething on Saturday (probably sooner but thats when I talked to the Dr). I was just wondering how long it would take until her first tooth came through?

Illyana's broke about a week and a half ago. After she started teething, it took about a month. I have Baby Orajel!

My son was 3 1/2 months when he started, and it took until he was around 7 months to get the first one through.

it can take a few months. often when they're teething there is more than one tooth coming in at once. both of my kids were teething for what seemed like forever. then once the first tooth came in, another 1-3 came in within a few weeks after that. it can take a while. as much as i hate medicating my kids, teething is one of the few things i will justify medicine. tylenol at bedtime always worked for my kids. orajel didnt work for either of them.

Each child is different it could be one hour or it could still be months. My son teethed for months before he actually got any teeth!!! All the best!!!
