Saving on Rune Factory?

We just got this game and we've NEVER played the Harvest Moon games beforehand. This is a silly question I know, but HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU SAVE? Your urgency on this matter is kindly appriciated XD;;

There are three ways to save in Rune Factory.

1. Check the little dresser next to your bed, it is a save spot and can be used at anytime. You will not go to sleep if you use it.

2. There is a glowing circle in each cave that lets you save your progress in the cave in case you get killed. Just stand on the circle and 'talk'.

3. The large shell on the beach is the Wi-Fi connection point for RF trading. You can save if you 'talk' to it.
