I am surprised that there are some people still
out there who have not heard of the various Nigerian schemes floated exclusively for the purpose of scamming gullible people. But take heart. You are not alone.Even here in the US,I
periodically come across such cases.Always
remember that nothing ever comes free in this world. Now having got that, remember that any
monetary scheme from Nigeria is always suspect.Don't even open the mail.Just consign it to trash pronto. You haven't won anything and the ATM card offered is the bait to lure you to fork out your hard earned money which will be lost once you start the process of accepting the offer made.BEWARE.

it's a scam. these people will even go so far as to send you a CHECK in the mail, drawn on a real but generic-named bank. the scam is "here's money you've won" [from wherever]... just deposit it, and send us $2,000 for taxes... or a processing fee, etc, etc.
The scam is actually money laundering... they send you fake money, you send them real money.... and never hear from them again. Often, they pretend to be some dignitary from a foreign country..... ha! SCAM SCAM SCAM.
I got an e-mail about "money I won" by entering a gambling lotto online. One I never entered, and have never heard of. It's a scam that plays on a person's desire to get rich without doing anything. Basically, if something SEEMS too good to be true...... IT IS A SCAM. And Nigeria is RIPE with this scam because it works so well. DATELINE NBC actually did a sting on it, where they set up a fake website, so they could trace the merchandise bought with "money you won" fake checks and stolen credit card numbers.

You didn't win anything from Nigeria. That country is notorious as the source of unending internet and email scams. I hope you have not forwarded them anything in terms of account numbers, credit card numbers or Social Security numbers. If you HAVE done so, contact your financial institutions first thing in the morning and explain what occurred. You will be lucky if nothing has been charged against you or your bank account drained dry.

Nothing from Nigeria is real. That place is rife with scams. My elderly neighbor came over all excited about winning the lottery and proudly showed me the letter. It was the Nigerian lottery scam. Poor old man, he was crushed when I told him. Good thing he came over. He was all set to send in his social security number and bank account number for his "winnings" to be deposited.

i've got not got a BofA debit card, yet i've got used a debit card from different banks in different atm's consisting of those in europe. verify with BofA for any distant places transaction costs they could fee once you employ it in europe. different banks could additionally fee a value once you employ a card from yet another financial employer at their ATM. verify the symbols on the lower back of your card which point out which networks you ought to use and then seek for an ATM bearing a type of community symbols. it was that obtaining distant places replace from an ATM replaced into the main suitable approach fairly than going to an replace agent. yet banks are continuously changing their rules and fee systems, so double verify whilst it is closer to the time of your trip.
