Yes! So put away the pud til Boxing Day. We had police checks in our area last year. They were down my street about 2pm on the 25th Dec. We had to quickly run out with our pud and chuck it in the shed. We all sat there with just bowls of custard. Be warned!

There are some really old outdated and quite frankly stupid laws that no-one abides by. Here are a few for you. Oliver Cromwell banned people eating mince pies, It is legal for a pregnant woman to pee in a policeman's helmet!! It's true, and it's illegal to beat a rug outside in between the hours of 3pm and 6am.. Go figure. I got the last one from a policeman!

Depends on what state you live in, there are some OLD laws out there that are still on the books but are not in forced, for the main reason they are STUPID! I think back in the olden days when men sat around making up these laws they were nipping one to many times in the bottle.
You can go to www.dogpile.com and type in stupid laws and a whole list of web sites will be provided. Here is one I found.

the precise birthday of Jesus is unknown. notwithstanding, evidence interior the Bible shows that Jesus changed into probable born in overdue spring/early summer season. December twenty fifth or twenty fourth (relying on the country) changed into taken from the Roman Pagans celebrating Saturnalia. A pagan holiday that completely ended on December twenty third, beginning on Dec 17th. The social gathering protected the giving of grants, and the wearing of "pileus". The pileus changed into prevalent because the freedman's hat. the idea is that even slaves might want to be regarded and revered as if they were their own masters. The layout changed into very equivalent to the hats which Santa's elves might want to positioned on. the idea right here's that Christ set the slaves/captives loose (it extremely is from sin), yet this changed into followed as a similarity. The Catholics (that are unavoidably Christian) further this holiday for the duration of a era in time which Paganism changed into nevertheless the norm yet Christianity changed into being followed because the hot faith of Rome. notwithstanding, real Christianity is lost interior the technique. there's a lot to this. also, Christ's start changed into never celebrated by ability of 1st Century Christians. the in difficulty-free words days celebrated the position the Passover and Pentacost. Christianity don't have any mandated holidays. the fast answer is that the Bible would not supply us a date, notwithstanding it changed into absolutely no longer in the course of the iciness. December twenty fifth isn't even on the point of Jesus' birthday.
