I heard that during Menstration, a woman's vagina opens to let the blood out, but also is open to let bacteria in, which can infect the inner wars of the Vagina and outside. Is this true?

Also, I heard elsewhere that sex during menstration can give you vaginal infections...

Some advice or answers would be appreciated!

I haven't heard either of these to be true but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
