i have had thick mucus like discharge with a yellowish green tinge to it but its been goin on for weeks now on and off i have been having contractions now for 2 days drs said it was bh contractions but they hurt.. and still havent stopped in like 40 some hours.. they feel like strong menstural cramps i had an exam y day and i wasnt dilated at all.. could it still be my mucus plug or just a weird discharge? i mean it fits the description of a mucus plug but it didnt just come out once it comes out like once a day for like 3 weeks. i kno this i gross but it looks like green snot for a sinus infection...

I lost mine little by little and by 36 weeks it was gone according to my doctor, but I wasn't dilating yet. I had my daughter at 38 weeks.

you can lose it if you're not dilated, but your cervix at least has to be softened because there has to be a hole for it to come through, chances are, you're a fingertip open, which is nearly one centimeter dilation. As for the color, it's nothing to be concerned about (Midwife says mucus plug could be anywhere from light pink to green., my wife is still pregnant, and she's had it for the last three weeks.. .(Currently 3 days past due)

that sounds like a discharge. the mucus plug only comes out once. and yes you can lose it with out being dilated,i did.mine came out 2 months before i went into labor.

I have been told that this is probably your mucous plug

i have had that a few tymes i dont really recall wat its called but its not ur plug.. does it look like a heavy snail trail .? my doctor said its normal to have my sister had that too..it only gets heavier and more often too.. but call ur doctor n check thats wat they are there for..
