A horse is tied to a five meter rope in front of an old saloon. Six meters behind the horse is a bale of hay. Without breaking his rope, the horse is able to eat the hay whenever he chooses. How is this possible?

the other end of the rope isn't tied to anything...so the horse is free to roam, its just bringing the rope along with it

This means that the hay is only 1 meter behind the stick, so if the horse turns around to the other side...he can eat the hay.
