When I was pregnant, I got sick, very very sick of a million things, specially food poisonings (even whil taking extra care in desinfecting everything, washing hands frequently, etc) and recurrent yeast infections (well not really recurring, it just never got away and got worse and worse), kidney infections, urinary tract infections, etc. and it all went away when my baby was born, what caused this?

the immune system changes, parts strengthen, parts weaken.

Yes, being pregnant does result in a supressed immune system.

That really one of the only reasons why its so important to be healthy before pregnancy, and to take your prenatal and stay active. It helps give your immune system a fighting chance.

Yup, when you are pregnant, more is required of your immune system and you are more likely to get sick. That is why you need to be careful what you eat and how you take your supliments, to ensure you are healthy enough to support the pregnancy.
