With all the money and talent these people have; can't the Cubs get better players and actually win a world series? I'm a huge Cubs fan since birth and it's my dream as is many people's dream to have them WIN a world series!

Cubs have sold tickets and merchandise even while losing all these years. Why spend money to put a good team on the field when they bring in revenue anyways and make more revenuse by not spending what they are earning.

That being said, that is the Cubs of old. It looks like the team finally is looking to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, I believe that this is linked more to the Red Sox and White Sox ending their long WS droughts, then to them just wanting to win. Because like I said above, they bring in a ton of money no matter the product on the field.

That is a good question, the Chicago Cubs sure seem to love playing this way. No matter what players they get, they sure end up disapointing thier fans, even with an early first round exist out of the playoffs. If the Chicago Cubs win the World Series, that would be a sign of gobal warming, the whole world will cease exist as we know it. This is good enough reason why not to cheer for the Chicago Cubs. You would think that they would get sick and tired of this long drought. But that is not the case, and so it goes on for who knows when, but mostly likely after you have gone to your grave. Sorry but that is the way is the way it is.

The Cubs are beginning on that long climb to get lower back into the thick of issues. Derrick Lee may well be lower back in a pair of weeks. regardless of the reality that Kerry wood is lower back on the DL, the pitching is initiating to teach it up a notch, and Mark past is due lower back. getting into the worldwide sequence may well be asking somewhat plenty. in the event that they're .500 or extra effective by making use of the All famous guy or woman ruin, they might think of untamed card action. it is in simple terms wishful thinking from a Cubs fan.

Sorry to say, but the Cubs do not have enough talent to win the World Series. They have errors with pitching and they're good on offense, but unfortunately they played lousy in the ALDS, and it cost them the season.

The only pitching the young Cubs have is Carlos Zambrano, and Ted Lilly. Both of them had lousy seasons, both with over 10 losses, which isn't Cy Young proof. (Cy Young pitchers is what the Cubs need.)

The curse of the Billy Goat just won't die!

So many people believe in the curse that it has become a self-fulfilling prophecy! Energy flows where attention goes!

I am a huge NY fan since birth also. TAKE A-ROD PLEASE and keep him in the NL. With him you guys will have a good chance because you are deff. the best team in the NL. and you will be nxt year when the mets and cardinals do worse. don't be worries about the rockies either.

We will, 2008 is ours! (It's gotta be, right?)

They could also pull their heads out of their butts and get us a left handed power hitter and a tough pitcher to make that a reality.

And I love 'em but someone needs to make sure our big three live up to their name and perform in the playoffs.
