as bisexual. (that's the 10th in the last 4 months!) i'm starting to REALLY believe now that more people than you think are bisexual, gay or trans. i don't think we are a minority like it is claimed to be. anybody agree?

Ehhh, I still think we're in the minority. It's just not as small a minority as most people believe.

On the other hand, if you believe the Kinsey scale is correct then bisexuals and gays make up the majority of the population, since by the Kinsey scale definition only 1/6 of the population is purely heterosexual.

My friends used to call me the Gay Sheba because it seemed like people would come out to me before anyone else. I knew who all the closeted and out gay/bi/trans people were in my area. I guess they felt comfortable telling me first because they knew that it takes a lot to faze me these days and I wouldn't try getting with a confused/newly out guy out of respect. I have more class than always trying to get laid.

To answer your original question: Yes, they are out there.

I agree with Lobo. We ARE a "minority", because there are more hetero people in this country - and the rest of the world - than there are us LGBTers. But we're just not as much of a minority as the general hetero population thinks we are. (Particularly the Christian zealots; although I think that's just wishful thinking, on their part.)

It would make sense that most people were heterosexual, because they are the ones who continue the population (for the most part). I think there are more heterosexuals and bisexuals who are more toward the heterosexual side, than there are gay people and bisexuals toward the gay side. But I think there are lots of us and most don't express it out of fear.

I've often thought of that a few times myself. I think especially girls would be bi if they were more open to it.
