yes ashann is right however I think it depending on what state you are in though and of courses you will need to get a background check because you are also working at a place that have to do with children working in a cafeteria is a good statt so youc an ask you self why do I want to become a teacher? I wnder if children will like me? It is worth an effort to become a teacher? this way you can explorer the school what it like to become a teacher and work your way up to principle. You can talk to teachers and school principle what ti take to become a teacher. My mother done that before she was a lifeguard, teacher, group supervisor, superintendence and deupty director all this time she wrk in the Junvenile field for 30 years. I worked in an elementary school cafateria and made minimum wage. High school cafateria workers made$2.50 more and got some benefits.
A speech therapist worked at the school and she made good money. (that is all she would tell me)

Custodial workers make decent money, my cousin made $60k with working overtime, but he has alot of time with the school board.

The best jobs in k-12 schools are: principals and teachers. Teaching assistants and cafeteria people make much less. Go for the best jobs only!

Another field I would highly speak of would be the medical field. This field of employment is growing daily and the pay is also increasing with it.
