"An cator"? In all my years of theatrical experience, I have never heard the term used.

Naaahhh, I'm just messin' with you.

Acting existed long before the Telephone and the Internet. You want to act? Act. Take lessons, work in a local Theatre, gain insight and experience.

Do you want to act for fame and applause? Forget it. Most actors cannot make rent. Do you want to act for fun? Learn a trade. Do you want to act because you have a fire in your belly? Welcome to Heartbreak City, kiddo. We all do.

Are you any good? Really? How do you know? Why?

You had better be prepared to answer these questions, because there are approximately 3.2 gazillion people out there who look just like you, are better than you are, and want to take your gig.

My best advice is to try and get involved in any theater you can. Be it at your school, in community theater, or even some acting courses that may be offered in your area. If you are under 18, ask your parents to help you. But my biggest advice, as a working, professional actress, is make sure you do all that you can, whenever you can. Be serious and committed, and follow your dreams. Get an education in theater, and if there is no art around you, then create your own! Best of luck!!

web sites will not help you. you need mom and dad's help, they have to approve everything you do until you are 18, that's the law.
