Hi guys,
Silly question, but just wondering is it ok to squat while pregnant. It is just a comfy way of me sitting. I do it all the time. Only reason Im asking is because Ive heard that squatting can be used to bring on labour. Im no way near labour, but wanted to ensure it doesnt bring on a misscarriage. Pls dont laugh.

squatting is not only okay but encouraged (by dr. robert bradley) and it isn't used to bring on labor but to help progress a labor that has already started. in the book "the husband coached birth" he encourages squatting ever time you need to bend down instead of bending at the waist. it will help to strengthen muscles needed for labor.

squatting wont bring on labor, it is a position a lot of women use when birthing. It is very comfortable to sit in the squatting position, i sit like that all the time =] also try sitting on a yoga ball when watching TV or something(it helps your core muscles stay strong for delivery and its comfy) i love it! good luck and god bless honey!!
