Well, I don't think u have an understanding of what "AVERAGE" means.
To simplify let's say we have a class with 8 ppl in it with the following scores:
Fred 50%
Mary 100%
Mark 100%
Lisa 50%
Cindy 100%
Linda 50%
Luke 50%
Sam 100%
This means the Average is 75% and over 50% is below (Way below) the 75%.

And three billion are above average intelligence... if you do the statistics one way. If you do it another way, probably half the people on Earth are of average intelligence, and a quarter on one side or another.
Statistics can be used to prove just about anything.

No. To remember known information or facts is not intelligence. It just means you have a good memory. For example, your times table or the temperature water boils, etc. Someone already figured it out, I am just remembering what is already known. If half the world population is below average intelligence, how do they survive running on low? Starvation is not a matter of intelligence but of brutality and to be a profit glutton is just as destructive because it makes millions suffer and may ruin world economies.

I am thinking it is probably true. There are a lot of stupid people out there, sorry to say. But that also means the other half is average or above-average.

Statistically, anything goes..depending on HOW one sees and/or interprets the results !! Some analysts & researchers have blinders ON !!
BTW, I don't believe in IQ...IMHO, intelligence cane be measured in terms of what you CAN accomplish when you WANT to accomplish something.
One may have a BRILLIANT MIND with much INTELLIGENCE, but do NOT express themselves or could care less of expressing their intelligence to the WORLD... Thus these damn scientists/researchers are dealing with the "UNKNOWN"...

but YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU DONT KNOW....,
especially if someone shuts OUT the WORLD !!

not according to most high school report cards.. back when I was in high school, a C was considered an average grade.. nowadays it seems like all the kids get As, even if they don't deserve As... so I guess that means that 90% of the students today are above average.. hmm.. that makes sense......
