of course they hate bonds. but face it, almost everyone cheats or has cheated. aaron took amphetamines, pitchers of the 60s and 70s scuffed the balls, nolan ryan obviously took something but nobody confronted him because of his name, tons of players have cheated, even hall of fame players. so you might as well mark everyone with an *.

Hank Aaron congratulated Bonds on his record achievement. He knew that records are made to be broken. He's very happy with what Bonds has done and does not think that the record is tarnished. He clearly stated on ESPN with the interview that they did since there's been no proof Bonds has taken steroids he's going to support Barry. As for other living legends who really knows? Most I think are happy for Barry breaking the record. There's only a few who probably despise Bonds because of the allegations of the steroids, but since there's no proof Bonds has taken steroids except for two journalists breaking the law and putting out leaked grand jury testimony people have jumped to conclusions since no one, but the people in the court room know what was actually said people rush to judgement.

I think Aaron doesn't feel happy about it. You can't blame him at all since Aaron went through abuse from the fans and others, on his pursuit in becoming the all time home run leader. Bonds can only blame himself for what he went through, on his way to robbing the record from Aaron. Aaron didn't deserve the abuse that was aimed at him. Bonds did. Imagine you are Aaron, and you went through racism, death threats, etc. Despite that, you were able to break one of sports greatest records. Now, imagine someone like Bonds comes along, he ends up testing positive for amphetamines, he likely took steroids as well, and the guy is a jerk to everyone. Imagine that guy, taking, no ROBBING the record from you. That will not leave a good taste in your mouth. I give Aaron credit in not making a big deal of it, even though if he was to verbally slam Bonds, he wouldn't be out of line at all. Bonds will never be half the man that Aaron is. Bonds may have the record, but he will never be as great a person as Aaron is.

seriously dude who cares.
A-rod will come alone and break the "steroids record".
Then there be no one to wonder if it was the "steroids" or not
no offense I just think that question like this are ridicules!!! Who cares what others think of this record? It's in the record book and that's where it will stay!

Bonds has tactfully refrained from saying much regarding Bonds. In that recorded announcement when Bonds broke his record, I think he said it was "a notable achievement" or something like that. Could he have said anything more neutral than that!

I am sure they have their opinions but keep them private about the steroids. Hank did congratulate him for his notable achievement.
