No, his character would change but personality would remain intact. We are born with our personalities and they follow us through life. The only thing we have the option to change is our Character.

If that's even possible, it depends on the "Nature vs. Nurture" argument. Are leaders made or born, etc. ? And do your habits make you who you are or is who you are reflected in your habits? It's also possible that the habits that you consider to be "good" or "bad" are related to your personality (that can influence your perception), thus your personality would not change, only your habits.
For example, take a person who is a habitual liar, a smoker, a nail biter and a procrastinator. I can change all these things and still remain the same person because how I decide to change these habits are reflective of my personality. Instead of lying, I can tell the truth, but what I may consider "truthful" and how I choose to tell the truth can depend on my personality. Instead of smoking I can chew gum - habitually. Instead of biting my nails, I drum my fingers. Instead of waking up at 7a for work, I'll wake up at 5a so I will have the time I "need" to get ready. Thus, I can change all of my "bad" habits to "good" habits, but remain the same person.

It could. If you take all your bad habits, it might change your life by not doing it anymore! You can make your own decisions. If they are BAD habits and eliminate them, it won't only change your personality but also the person you are growing to be.

Yes. his bad habits contribute to his present personality as well as his good ones. If those factors change there will be a personality change. To what degree, no one can tell.

Let me know when you've accomplished changing all of your bad habits to good ones, with out obtaining new "bad" habits. I'd like to know if your personality changed.
Besides, if a person only has good habits, that would make him Jesus, and I don't take kindly to people trying to state they are perfect like my Savior.

In a way it will, because those habits make up you as a person. In other ways it won't because you'll still have the same qualities.

it will change his personality because if he stops his bad ones he likely will have to spend the time he used to pass doing this doing something new [example do something else in the time s/he used to smoke]
