Is it possiable to have tornados in the winter in Minnesota ?

Yes but thunderstorms are rare in winter so tornadoes will be even rarer.

As a storm chaser who lives in MN, I say yes. But most any tornado in MN in winter would fall into the cold core tornado category. And these are even rare. Most tornadoes in MN happen from late March-late September. Occasionally some fall in between.

Yes, it is possible. However, chances are low. If there's thunderstorms, high winds and cumulonimbus mammatus cloud figures then, there's a good chance a tornado is coming your way. Keep in mind that there doesen't always have to be a thunderstorm for a tornado to occur.
