RoVale is correct in regards to "feminazi" being an oxymoron.
Here are a few of many links on the topic of women in Nazi Germany. In summary, they all say that Hitler forbade women from working and financially rewarded them for being mothers and housewives.

Furthermore, both Betty Freidan and Gloria Steinem are Jews (or at least, have Jewish parents). So are millions of unfamous feminists. I sincerely doubt they would associate with anything Nazi.

To give off the impression that all feminists are extremists. I know that only the most militant "feminists" are referred to as such, but it's still deeply offensive to me as a Jewish feminist.

It was first used by a popular radio talk show host almost two decades ago. However, if he had checked on his history, he would have found that the term was totally inaccurate. The Nazis were very much anti-feminists and they wanted women to stay home and produce as many babies as possible for the fatherland. Women were not admitted as members of the party although they could be auxillaries. Other things that point to their being anti-feminists was that abortion was outlawed and a woman having one could be jailed. If she had a second one, she could be executed. The Nazis were fervently right-wing and associating feminism with them is actually an oxymoron.

Now why would one group that acts like another be compared to them?
They are called feminazis because it FITS.
Using lies, half-truths and innuendo (with a lot of rhetoric) to enact laws to denigrate another group of people unfairly is what Nazis did and what feminsts do today. The comparison is almost a mirror-image as is the amount and degree of hatred.

Rush started it, and since it's highly offensive, others repeat it ad nauseum. It's interesting that feminists are one of the few groups that people feel they have the right to equate with nazi's, even though quite a few feminist leaders are jewish. Ironic, isn't it? People don't even call the Klan nazi's.

Nazi Germany was noted for its psychologically powerful propaganda, much of which was centered around Jews, who were consistently alleged to be the source of Germany's economic problems.**The feminazis follow that same rule of thumb, especially when they use their brow beating tactics. Then, you have your feminists who cannot for the life of them accept anyone who does not believe in so-said party/equality. Let's just say that they're the ones who blame the antis for equality not getting the acceptance they've always envisioned; being blind to the fact the fault is theirs and theirs alone; for their superb lack of acceptance and I'm not talking about yours truly either. .

Nazis used phony propaganda to say that the reason Germans had a bad deal was because of Jews, and radical/ideological feminists say that women have been treated the same way by men. One day we will all wake up to the fact that the comparison between radical/ideological feminism & nazis is not as far fetched as we would wish.
