Baby wipes are an inexpensive method of removing makeup and are great for it with exception of certain things. Baby wipes contain no oils in them and are not designed to remove makeup, so if you use alot of cream formulations or waterproof liner or mascara they won't remove it. Baby wipes should not be used to clean the face or as a substitute for cleanser. It is always good to have a bottle of makeup remover around in case you do use something waterproof or cream based, but wipes work great for other formulations. It is also an effective way of cleaning oil based makeup removers off the eye after use as they can sometimes leave a residue that can be unplesant.

Another baby wipe tip: use baby wipes to qickly clean shadow brushes between colors. Simply lay the wipe on a flat surface and gently rub the brush back and forth across the wipe to remove any shadow residue remaining in the bristles. Allow to dry a few seconds and viola, a clean brush!

I have done it before. Just be VERY ginger about it (careful). Keep your eye closed the WHOLE time. It will sting badly if it gets in your eyes. But it will clean real well, however.
If you have a baby, I would suggest Pure'nGentle wipes at Walmart. You'll find them in the same aisle as Wet Ones, and they are only 97 cents. And they work EVEN BETTER than baby wipes.

you could use olive oil if you dont have acne prone skin. if you do buy the up and up eye makeup remover wipes at target. ive tried many others and they dont work and they get dry really fast- but those ones dont. also, ive been using jsut neutrogena eye makeup remover in the bottle lately because you get more bang for your buck and it does the same thing. alot of the times though the ones in the bottle dont work well so you need to make sure you get a name brand, then youll be fine.

If they're safe to use on a baby, they're safe to remove eye makeup.

Yes it is fine. I use it to remove my makeup when I am on the run and never had any problem.

it's probably not the best thing to use because that's not what they're made for but it probably won't hurt your eyes. the best thing i have found is a product made by clinique that is purple and is oil based and takes off eye shadow, liner and mascara very easily. i LOVE it.
