Same here. I live 30 mins away and I've not been in at least a year. You and I need to hang our heads in shame.

I dont live near the ocean but when we went to visit relatives on the west coast in 1995, they took us to the ocean about an hours drive away and it was in September and the water was freezing cold and made my feet feel numb in a matter of minutes. That was the first time but hopefully not my last because even though the water was cold, everything about the ocean, beach and unique stores was beautiful.

Three weeks ago.
We drove 12 hours to Virginia Beach, and I dipped my toe, and my whole self, into the Atlantic. It was very difficult to leave the ocean.

at the same time as i changed into youthful I used all 3 of those. The river close to our abode changed into perfect for searching tadpoles and taking a dip on a warm summer season's day. Then me and my sister got here upon that in case you walked down that river it exited to the lake extremely interior of sight (i imagine i changed into 7 the first time we did this), so walking all the way down to the lake to swim grew to develop into our new maximum favoured activity on a warm summer season's day! (that is Lake Ontario we are speaking about--huge element. can't see halfway for the time of it from the bluffs that ring it in this section...extra like an inland sea except that's sparkling water.) We spent many satisfied hours hiking up and down those bluffs too...got here upon the properly of a sunken anchor in the destiny, stamped with a date of 1800 and something. Then at the same time as i changed into interior the military, I had some postings on a variety of of oceans...for sure I loved swimming in them, yet what i got here upon the most soothing of all changed into to position out on the sea coast interior the midst of the evening in basic terms listening to the waves. I continually imagined them because the pulse of the planet. What i will never do is concern myself to ANY of the "polar bear swims" that look so universal all over the world! i'm no longer that a lot into self-flagellation of any type!
