I have heard that on Dec 21st 2012 when the Mian calender comes to an end that the poles on the earth will switch..in other words depending on the way the earth turns we the north american continent could become the North or South Pole, meaning the end of man kind. The Mians were a smart people and knew much more than i believe we do. If this is true it would be the end of our world as we know it today.......what do you think

the earth wouldn't flip upside down!... only the Magnetic Poles would switch, meaning the compass points would be backwards.... it's happened many times before and will do so over and over again in the future, most likely.... the record of it happening before is in the rocks of the ocean floor.... and the Dec date has NADA to do with it.... it may take a few hundred or thousand years for the flip to occur..... stop believing all that nonsense stuff out there.... the world isn't ending just yet.....

I don't think it will be the end of the world, but the end of the world as we know it, which means major change in society as a whole. Some believe that we'll become telepathic and much more spiritual, others believe that the magnetic poles will reverse. I think lots of natural disasters as the climate reverses and we drop in to an ice age(hopefully just a little one) lots of people will die as a result and man will finally realise we have no power against the earth, we will lose our massive ego's and become more down to earth.

The poles have flipped many times in the past, I'm not sure if the MAYANS knew this or not, but I don't see why that would be the end of humanity?
