-The first night he came out, I started laughing b/c of the music that sounded like a rock song, but when he hopped into the ring, I was thinking "this gimmick may be interesting", I don't hate it, I just think there's really nothing more you can do to it, can you?

All though its a complete rip-off of Jim Morrison, I actually like the gimmick. His weird metaphors and those quotes he says that make no sense are so funny. He has a lot of charisma. And not to mention, he is an incredible wrestler. Plus he look way better when he blow-dries his hair ;)

I don't mind Morrison's gimmick. It's been great for his career. It has definitely given him more "mic time" then he would have ever expected when he was Johnny Nitro. Anybody remember the "Addressing the Media" speech he made with Melina on Raw? Watching paint dry was more interesting then that (a definite improvement). The guy is a great athlete but I'm hesitant about his wrestling prowess. He hasn't found those combination of moves that every wrestler has as trademarks.
And to answer your question, NO, there's not much the writer's can do with it. It's up to Johnnny to perform up to par.

his new gimmick is better than Jonny Nitro of MNM was...the first i saw him i didn't recognise him as he change his hair style completly....when he was Jonny Nitro his hair was always wet!

the creative team really turned him into a "superstar" he's the only tough enough winner to have been a major title holder.
