Tasha....I hear that more as a short name. I like the name personally, there are not a lot of babies named that anymore, so it would be unique. It does kinda sound both German and Russian. But yes it is originated from Russia.
You could also spell or say it like this
Nastaliya, Nastalya, Natacha, Natascha, Natashenka, Natashia, Natasia, Natosha or Natucha.

I like the name!!
It's definitely not a popular or trendy one, but it's beautiful - and you won't have to worry about everyone else having it!
My daughter is Chelsea - and right after I named her - there seemed to be an overabundance of Chelsea's and Kelsey's.
It definitely sounds Russian to me.

It's very Russian.
I don't like the name. I had a gym partner in high school who was a superslut with nipple rings she liked to show off with tight shirts. The guys all called her Nasty Natasha.
Now, Nasty Natasha aside, it does sound pretty, but I prefer Natalie or Natalia.

I knew a girl named similar to that and I didn't care for her very much. I know the name has nothing to do with the person - so I guess I'm not much help. Sorry!

It's a nice sounding name...you can shout it out, and i'm sure there are many prominent people name that.
But one time i was watching this crime tv show and a girl named Natasha wrote her name backwards on wall...(try writing it down backwards...) if this is of any significance to you, you might want to reconsider. Otherwise, for people like me, it's great!
