FYI, it turned out to be...the car was over filled with too much oil by something like 4 quarts or something, so it wasn't the headgasket at all.....

Could be a number of things but sounds like either a blown head gasket or a cracked head or cracked block, the white smoke comes from water or coolant from the engines cooling system when it enters the cylinder it mixes with gas and leans out the fuel air ratio then leaves through the tailpipe

white smoke could be from oil escaping from piston equipment as much as the combustion chamber .. or could be from valve oil seal is leaking oil on the coolest of ur pistons burning with gasoline which will supply white smoke ... open ur radiator cap and notice if any pressurized air is arising .. if any which would be head gasket ... any way if ur motor vehicle is working low on torque then you definitely will want engine rebuild . piston equipment and valve oil seal .. and head gasket gets replaced with different issues ... this might make you forget approximately approximately ur engine for an prolonged time .. only periodic upkeep ... and could make ur engine runs like new ... i think of 22000 miles isn't that long term which will make an engine to fail ... you may take it for diagnostic and notice the verify engine gentle ... good luck

Bad head gasket. The coolant is getting into the cylinder and burning causing white smoke.

Oil smoke is blue, not white.

You need an engine rebuild or a new top end.

Pull the oil dipstick. I bet the oil looks like mud and has bubbles of water on it. I believe you have a bad head gasket. That would be the cause of the whitish smoke. Oil smoke is blue.

When check engine light comes on stop driving before you totally ruin the engine. What you are looking at is an expensive repair.
