Actually the war cost is even higher. Because if you take into consideration how much more americans have paid in gasoline costs since the invasion of Iraq, then I am just you can add another billion dollars to that amount....except its not from the public coffers but directly from our pocket books.

Yeah, and they won't pay a couple percent of that for children's healthcare. Yet, they'll borrow all that from China and pay the communists tons of interest instead of taking care of our own children.
Conservatives are morally bankrupt.

Don't worry, it's monopoly money, just like the money that we spent for all the pork that was added to the water resources bill before it was sent to the President. That was only 20 billion, the water part only cost 5 billion, and our lovely fiscally conservative responsible Congress over-rode the President's veto to pass that.
It seems to me that we can expect to spend a tremendous amount on a war----I have problems with spending on anything myself, especially when we have no money, but until we get this gang of weasels out of Washington, I don't see much point to the pot calling the kettle black.

Yep. 1.6 TRILLION on Iraq and Afghanistan, and you know which of those 2 is getting the lions share.
Remember this when some numbskull trying to replace Social Security with "Private Investment accounts" tries to prove that Social Spending is taking all the budget - (after they "forget" to include all the separate spending bills that fund the war) .

Not shocking in the slightest. Last week the Army Times stated we will be in Iraq for the next 50 years.
Can we all say recession?

No.
It's just a drop in the bucket.
Wait and see what the Democrats do to us Working People when they take over in 2009.

Yep, the Bush depresion is starting soon. The war cost is $20,900 for a family of four and this doesn't include the total of the nine trillion dollars we are in debt. Welcome to a third world country.

This is why I find it ridiculous when Neo-cons and republicans squawk about "Dems raising taxes." Who do they think is going to pay for this?
Money spent is money spent. I don't care if you call it taxes, or debt.
