I have worked with the fuel industry for ten years, and did a brief spell with Exxon in LA. The answer depends on the state and the station. In most cased there are two tanks and 3 levels of fuel at the pump head. In some cases there can be three tanks but it is rare. The easiest way to tell barring counting the tank hook ups is looking at the grades. If they are 89 91 93 than its blended fuel with a tank for 93 and 89 with 91 being a blend. If they are something like 88 90 93 than there are 3 tanks. If you have a blended station mid-grade will always run out of fuel the same time as premium or lower grade for the reason above.

octane today could be almost a guffawing rely years in the past there replaced into genuine octane excessive octane for particular and today countless gas stations rip all people off via merchandising decrease grades as greater grades so particular there ought to be an strange grade for particular rather with the ethanol that absorbs water and separates then cut back to rubble all engines and via using ethanol automobiles get a minimum of three - 4 much less MPG yep that is proper strange gas offered in maximum states NOW good success smile

There's a tank underground for each type of fuel, and each of the pumps will connect to all of the tanks.

By law they have to keep them in separate tanks. All the pumps draw from these 5 tanks

Not each pump has a seperate tank. Every pump draws from one of the five different big tanks.
