don't know what to do. My friend is trying to get more financial aid or something. She wants me to write a letter on my job's letterhead stating that she has been living as an independent at her Grandmother's house for the last three years. in reality, she's been living with her parents.

is there anyway doing this and basically knowingly lying for her can come back and bite me in the a*s?

Your friend is willing to put you in a very, very bad position. That seems incredibly selfish. DO NOT DO IT. It's not worth it.

yes, these things usually do come back to bite you in the ***. If and when they find out you'll both be in trouble. Tell your friend to get a job or apply for scholarships. She's just being greedy. There are people who really are living as independents at their grandmothers house who need that money.

I really wouldn't do that if I were you. Lying about financial is very serious. Especially if your friend filed a FAFSA. Lying about finanicial aid is a big no no because that is money given to you from the government. If you lie to the government, you will definitely get more than a little slap on the wrist.

Do not do that. Most financial aid comes from the Federal Government and lying to them, especially on paper with your signature, is not a good idea.

Don't do it. You already know it's the wrong thing to do, both morally and for your own a** protection.
If your friend needs more money she should do what the rest of us do - get a job.

I wouldn't do that if I were you, that's fraud. If she's your friend. . . she would find another way.
