Well, do the bodywork of course. If it's an eight, it's fast as balls. Gremlins are light as hell and AMC made a muscle car out of everything. Paint it a funky color, lower it maybe, tune it up real nice so it's got some lub-lubs, tint. It can work and you'll get extra points for being unusual.

First, you should put duct tape over the rust, primer the whole car, then paint the flames on it. I know I wouldn't be able to resist it!
