Absolutely. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain because you didn't participate in the election process. Sometimes, you have to vote to keep someone else from getting elected.

Yes. I'd vote for the candidate who most closely articulates what I believe in even if I do not agree with everything. I would also pay close attention to who I voted for in the Congressional races as well. This is what helps to balance out those areas of the presidency that I don't quite agree with.
Not everyone is going to agree with everything a candidate says but through the checks and balances in our government, hopefully one can get close.
I'm always amazed that the people who gritch about the government the most seem to be those who rarely vote. By voting, I feel that I have a right to be critical of who is in office and what they're doing. By not placing a vote, I feel that I have no right to voice an opinion when I had the opportunity at the voting booth.

Yes, as the saying goes, decisions are made by those who show up.
However, better than 'voting for candidates you don't like', I choose to get involved with the process by being a member of a political party and helping to shape policy and debate from within. As someone said earlier, my views aren't likely to be represented 100% by anyone, the only way THAT could happen is if I took power for myself and established my own little dictatorship. But, by actively engaging with the debate I know I have done everything I can to bring it as close as possible to what I believe in.

From one point of view, if a candidate wins the election with a total of 5,000 votes from a population of 300,000,000. That says something. He better do a good job.
On the other hand, we have a responsibility to vote for whom ever we see as the best for the job.
I guess I would vote for who ever I thought would do the best job. Its the least I could do.

If I didn't like them, no I wouldn't vote. The "lesser of the 2 evils" mentality is a horrible way to go. I know all of them aren't going to 100% agree with my feelings, but if it came down to absolutely not liking any candidate, then not voting is the strongest message you can make.

I do not vote and will not vote. I'm not giving my willpower over to any canidate. Besides no canidate can gain the trust of the majority of the people in thier country. Therefore they have no traction. You cannot do great conquest without such.A kingdom divided falls into fighting first from a-z , then famine from a-z. then more fighting from a-z. Till all sides are exhausted from thier greed. Me I'm enjoying what good times they have left, and batting down the hatches. For the fightings and famines have only just begun. For you cannot make dogs wolves, sheep, goats, cows, bulls, and eagles and snakes, get along in the same field civilazation.

I will not vote for the president if its Rudy vs. Hillary. I can't stand Hillary and if the GOP nominates Rudy, they will have betrayed their conservative members. Also, they are both for giving amnesty to most of the illegal aliens in our country. That stinks! If there was a third party candidate, then I would vote for that candidates, as a protest to the GOP for nominating a social issue liberal.
I like Duncan Hunter and Ron Paul!

I didn't during the last presidential election, but I might in this one, but I'll probably vote for a 3rd party candidate rather than the Democrat or Republican nominee.
