You have to specifically ASK for paper now days and I often forget. The plastic ones are good for disposing of dog poop and visiting granddaughter's diapers but I really like killing a tree better!

Plastic b/c it can be recycled way easier and doesnt break down as fast as paper

Paper, I just like it better and it is better for the earth. I trust mother nature more than chemists.
Not to mention, paper is perfectly safe around babies.

Most grocery stores accept plastic bags for recycling.
So, if you will actually recycle, it doesnt matter.
If you are just going to throw it away... Paper.

Neither...I use canvas bags I purchased that I can re-use over and over.
No waste that way.
