Knowlege is power.
Without knowledge...how can you get the upper hand on things.
Knowledge is one thing that can 'never' be taken away from you...ever!!

Knowledge is true belief which it is rationally impossible to doubt arrived at by a causal chain proceeding directly from the content of that belief. Hardly anything can be known by this standard, so it could be said to be a useless definition, like the definition of round as perfectly spherical, which nothing in the physical world actually is. There is a general problem here, where the customary use of words is usually approximate, so it might be better to see the customary usage as more important than a precise definition. Wittgenstein is relevant here.

There is also the question of wisdom, which is not knowledge. That's a completely different issue.

In normal conversation we use knowledge to mean:

Knowing that (facts and information)

Knowing how (the ability to do something)

Sometimes, we use the word knowledge to mean that we have some information, we know that Mary drinks lemonade, for example. When we have this type of knowledge then we are able to express it. I cannot say that I know when the Battle of Hastings took place, if I cannot, under any circumstances, say the date! This is not true of knowing how.

If I know how to swim, then when placed in the water I make certain movements and do not sink! However, I may be unable to say how, exactly, I am able to swim. Knowing how does not mean I know that ... If I cannot say the date of the Battle of Hastings, I cannot be said to know it. But if, while swimming, I cannot tell you exactly how I do it, you cannot say I don't know how to swim!

Failing to understand the above can lead us into certain fallacies. If we get instruction from the best public speaker in the world, it does not mean that because he or she can speak excellently, that they know how to instruct others. They might be able to say what they do. For example they might say how they practice. But this might work for them and not for others! A much less able public speaker, or even one who might never have spoken in public might be a much better teacher. The point is that knowing that and knowing how are two different kinds of knowledge!

In philosophy, knowing that something is the case implies that what is known is true. Can we sensibly say that someone knows something, but it isn't true? We cannot know that something is the case unless we are able to show that it is also true.

Knowledge is variously as (i) expertise, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject, (ii) what is known in a particular field or in total; facts and information or (iii) awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation. Philosophical debates in general start with Plato's formulation of knowledge as "justified true belief". There is however no single agreed definition of knowledge presently, nor any prospect of one, and there remain numerous competing theories.

Philosophicaly: Knowledge is like a double edged sword you can make a vicious cut but can also get cut by it. A little Knowledge is a most dangerous thing posible fatal. Wisdom is a thing to be cultivated

But it is the information in our brains stored into wrinckles and noodle shapes in the brain.

Knowledge is and has to be learned. Knowledge is like whats stored on the memory of a computer. It all has to be downloaded or learned so to speak. Intelligence would be the processor and i guess wisdom would be how the operator uses the computer.

Knowledge is being taught at many schools, not just many lists of mindless facts. Human beings have accomplishments, skills, and progress in ideas, techniques, and the accumulation of concrete facts.
We don't need to be re-inventing the wheel every generation.

KNOWLEDGE.. !!!!

Knowledge is more than JUST knowing...knowledge is basically knowing how to know what you WANT to know..and how good of an aptitude one has to acquire knowledge.

Knowledge of reading & memorizing an entire phone book is POINTLESS, because you cannot leverage that knowledge towards MORE knowledge. Counnting how many pieces of sands are on a beach is knowledge but is POINTLESS, because it does NOT leverage your knowledge for MORE knowledge!!

KNOWLEDGE is knowing how to leverage one's intellectual skills !!

Remember:

1) You know what you know !!
(i.e.) you know snow is cold !

2) You know what you DON'T know !!
(i.e.) you probably don't know how to build a space shuttle to the moon.

3) BUT, you DONT know what you DON'T know !!
(i.e.) you probably don't know that MAYBE you live in a multi-dimensional paradigm, where your body exists on infinite dimensions. BUT you just CAN'T or DON'T KNOW how to prove that knowledge YET !!

LEVERAGAE is the KEY to more KNOWLEDGE !!
