Yes, I did as a teenager. I was stopped for doing 45 in a 35. The entire time the officer was talking to me, I was just looking at my speedometer with a confused look on my face, and never said a word about it. He just gave me a warning and told me I should "get my speedometer checked out".
It probably also helped that my father was on the fire department, and had been for about 20 years at this point. He knew just about everyone that worked for the city.
**EDIT: What works even better is not to be in that situation to start with. If you need to speed, leave a few minutes earlier. As I said, this happened when I was a teenager, which was over 25 years ago. Since then, I just obey the law, drive within the speed limit (maybe up to 5 MPH over at most), and laugh at people that go flying past me when I pass them on the side of the road talking to the police.

I have talked my way out of an agressive driving ticket before, but I wasn't playing ignorant. I really did not know that I was breaking the law.
And I will *NEVER* use tears for anything. That is just the stupidist thing in the world. You want people to take you seriously? Than act like an adult. Tears are what little kids use to get their way.

IGNORENCE OF LAW IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR VIOLATION OF LAW. THE POLICE MAN MAY SYMPATHISE WITH YOU SEEING YOUR EMBARRASSMENT, TEARS OR YOUNGER AGE
