Extrenal hard drive need help!?

I just Purchased SATA/IDE-USB Adapter for my Old Hard drive and it refuse to connect to the current pc.. what should i do?

the master and slave is accurate and i do have the cd but its for windows 98 and i have windows xp.. ARG!

did you get the software install cd with it? I would get a hold of the manufacturer for sure.

Hi. Make sure the Master/Slave jumper on the back is correct. Switch it and see. Switch it back if that doesn't help.
