On that show when they show at the end of every episode a clip from the "next" epsiode, is that not really a clip from the next episode?

Not usually (though there were a few times they actually did show a scene from the next episode) - they usually used that bit to show short gags that followed up on the current episode's theme.

No. what happens in the clips at the end of every episode doesn't really happen in the show.

No, it's just a way to squeeze in more jokes. AD was one of the best shows to ever air, with tons of running jokes that spanned the entire three seasons it aired. FOX broke many hearts when they cancelled that gem.
