nope its just to get rid of your CRT and get the 19" LCD...and yes the FP has better quality if that is what you are asking

yes, you will get way better resolution, i recently bought a 22" LCD from a old 15"crt. you wont be dissapointed.
just get one with a decent response time.

Yes, it better quality. It also takes up less space and power. This could save you a lot of money.

I have a dell E228WFP, it's the cat's ***. It's vastly superior to my old 17 inch monitor.
