one is angular acceleration A and the other is rotational force T

They are related similar to their linear counterparts
like F=ma

T=IA where I - moment of inertia

and they are related if R is the radius of rotation then

A=a/R
T=R F (when the angle between F and R is 90 degrees)

Torque is a force, and an acceleration is a force on a mass.
